Day Forty One of my Scarf Challenge

Hallo Everyone!

So keeping with the Christmas theme I wore red again today. This scarf holds a lot of memories. It is the first scarf I ever remember wearing vividly. I wore it when I went on my trip to Washington DC for my sororities convention. I have so many cute photos of me wearing it on that trip that I almost posted those.

I want to say that I bought it at Target but in all honesty I have no clue! It is one of my original scarves and my most warn scarves. I also like that I do not have to tie it and it stats in place because it has some weight to it.

Goodbye for now.

Day Forty of my Scarf Challenge

Merry Christmas in April!

So this scarf is very special because my Big (from my sorority) gave it to me. I received it this Christmas when she did 12 days of gifts for the 12 days of Christmas. This scarf she gave me on the third day for the three french hens. She told me the hens had headed back to France but they had left a scarf behind for me.

I love that it is gray so it goes with just about anything. Also I had seen scarf like this that I liked but it was very itchy because of the sequins. With this scarf, though, I do not feel any of the sequins which is very nice. The glitter was also perfect around Christmas time.

Have a great day!

Day Thirty Nine of my Scarf Challenge

Howdy Everyone!

That is how we say hallo it in Aggieland.

I was so glad I was wearing this scarf. I was wearing my Texas A&M logo scarf at work. It was very busy so I was bouncing around but I kept trying to figure out why this mum and daughter kept staring at me. When it was time for them to ring out the daughter goes, "Are you a Texas Aggie?" I exclaimed, "Yes, class of 2014!" She told me she was class of 2010 and we tried to figure out if we knew any of the same people. Slightly possibility but still awesome. They actually returned a bit later when it had slowed down to talk to be a little more. All because I was wearing my scarf.

Note: I was wearing my Aggie Ring which everyone says identifies you but I would like to know why no one every seems to notice it on me.

The reason I bought this scarf was my dear buddy Caro who was a German exchange student was getting a few last minute items to take back to Germany with her. We were in Target and saw these. If my memory serves me correct we both bought one. If not she talked me into it. It was a scarf that when I got home I was like why did I buy that? I am graduating in six months and then am I really going to wear it? I have worn it so much more then I ever thought I would and I probably where it the most out of my three Aggie scarves.

Thanks and Gig 'Em.

Day Thirty Eight of my Scarf Challenge

Hallo Everyone!

So we are getting close to the finish. I wonder if I am actually at 55 but I am so backed up that I am passed 55 or something and I just don't know it.

This scarf is a scarf that I bought at Francesca's. I am really strange when it comes to pink. When I was in grade one everything in my life was pink. Even grade two was close to everything being pink. Me not liking pink as much happened when I really wanted to be Mary in our school Christmas play. There were between six and eight of us that wanted to play Mary. Once my teacher announced that we had to wear blue for the play it came down to three of us. My teacher decided to take a vote and I think I won by a landslide. It was then I realized that good things could come from not wearing pink. There were many other  lessons learned during that whole process that I am still amazed I still remember.

I do on occasion like to wear pink for a bit of colour. I either love a ballerina pink or like an 80's neon pink. This should come as no surprise to those that know me as I love both these kids of styles when dressing along with many styles in between.

Ballet pink with black is one of my favourite combos. It allows me to dress edgy with just a little bit of softness.

This scarf is awesome because it is so fluffy and cozy.

Until later.

Day Thirty Seven of my Scarf Challenge

Start of the streak!

No not streaking but a streak of me wearing pretty much all black for quite a few days.

The jacket I am wearing I really debated buying it or not. I am SOOO glad that I did because I wear it usually at least four days a week. Really good purchase in my book. Now I just wish I could get a real leather jacket like that. I have the hardest time though finding real leather anymore which I think is insane!

Anyways, my scarf. This scarf is actually a dark royal blue and black checkered infinity scarf. I got it for about $5.00 at a Francesca's outlet store. I love it because it adds a little bit of colour to an otherwise completely black outfit. However, it does not loose the edgy vibe which I really like. I bought it when I went and met my new boss for the first time. It is light weight but it does keep me warm.

I also tried to do a faux hawk dutch braid today. Obviously a fail. I can do a great dutch braid pretty much anywhere on my head but not down the center. Should not surprise me as it is the same for french braids.

Sorry for the horrible photos but this is what happens when no one else can take the picture.

Day Thirty Six of my Scarf Challenge

It's a blue and paisley kind of day!

So today was a great day but not a great day. I thought I was going into the dentist to have a wisdom tooth pulled. Turns out there is no wisdom tooth there was after about two hours they finally came to the conclusion that they had no conclusion. My mouth has baffled the dental and orthodontic communities for years so I will not hold it against them. So no teeth pulled yeah but sad because no conclusive results.

So because of this I dressed extremely casual today. a spirit jersey from my honeymoon and my blue paisley scarf. It is true, blue is a very calming colour so I loaded up on it today. Again, like yesterday nothing too special about this scarf. I loved that it was blue a colour that I really do not own much of in the scarf department. Plus, paisley is beautiful and perfect for this time of year. Again a pattern a love but I do not own much of.

Sorry for the squinty eyes but it was bright.

Have a day full of colour!

Day Thirty Five of my Scarf Challenge

Sorry for the delay everyone!

Considering it has been almost a week you are going to be getting some scarf concentrate. Like orange juice, only scarves.

This is a scarf that does not really have a super special story. I bought it when I went down to meet with my new manager at her old store. It ended up being about $7.00. What I like is the two fabrics and how they compliment one another. I love my neutrals and browns and beiges and such. This scarf is perfect because it has all of that and just a touch of colour to add a little pop to the outfit. A lot of people tell me I need to wear more purple so here you go for the folks that tell me that.

I really wish I had worn my gray jeans or something instead though. Plus all the photos with my face were terrible so you just get the outfit.

Have a great one. Thanks for your patience and your continued support!

Day Thirty Four of my Scarf Challenge

I have been seeing lots of stars this week.

Starfish earrings, necklaces, shirts, scarves, bracelets, pretty much anything you can imagine. Yes I am obsessed with starfish probably more then scarves.

I have also been feeling a little more nautical then edgy the past few days. A phenomenon that does not often happen. Bring starfish into the picture and things change a bit.

My scarf today is one of my favourites. It is a bright coral scarf with white starfish. My husband bought it for me on our honeymoon at Amelia Island. I bought it at a store that was I believe the first store my family and I went into when we visited Amelia Island years ago. It was still so nice to see it there. There were so many items with starfish that I wanted but I narrowed it down to this one. Up until my honeymoon I did not own a scarf with starfish as I had never found one that I loved. I even did the game with this scarf of okay this is the first store I am going in and we are here for three more days. If it is still there in three days I will get it. Well it was and my husband surprised me with it. How special, lucky, blessed, and loved am I. Pair this scarf with a navy and white striped shirt and it just jumps.

I was in a bit of a rush so no fun makeup. Sorry.

Day Thirty Three of my Scarf Challenge

Lobster for lunch anyone?

I have been very very bad about posting. I feel very bad as I have had several people the last few days ask me when I was going to be posting next as they have been seeing and reading. I did not realize. Haha. Sorry for that.

This scarf has the same story as the bicycle scarf that I wore very early on in my challenge. I got it at Icing when I volunteered at an event called Grand Ball. One of the best events I have ever been apart of. We did two days of shopping. One was just to try and find me a dress. Which we finally did. It was on sale and it took two malls and a good part of two days to find. I grabbed the bicycle for reasons you can read in my old post. For the lobster though it is a lot different. I do not like the taste of lobster at all. Most people find this very hard to believe. I tell them they should like me more because it means more for them. I do love lobsters on clothing though. Something just so nautical about it. Lobsters also remind me of the north east. One summer my parents took us on a road trip from Nova Scotia all the way back down to Florida. It was one of my most memorable road trips with them. I also love blue and red especially together and it just adds a little bit of patriotism in there.

Sorry for the very straight uncomfortable pose. I was uncomfortable as there were several neibours walking about staring.

Eat up.

Day Thirty Two of my Scarf Challenge

Ahoy Sailours!

So the outfit for today was very colourful. I had it one way before work and then had to modify it for work. The picture you will see is the modified look. I preferred it with white shorts or my blue skinny jeans. I also wore it with brown braided leather slippers (aka flip flops.)

This whole outfit really has a story to it. Well most of the components. The shirt was a top I bought before I went to France. I decided I wanted some basic v necks to wear while I was in France. They had very few colours in my size and so I bought what I could get. I decided I did not like the colour because it was too bright and thought I would never wear it so I did not take it to France. Plus I took only nudes (mostly darker ones with me.) Now I love this colour and it is very in for spring right now.

I bought the shoes about a week ago at the Hospice thrift store. I am so sad that they will be closing this branch. As many know I am a huge supporter of Hospice. I used to volunteer hundreds of hours  at my local Hospice each year. I got these Sperry's that were maybe worn once or twice for $7.50. My mum was so worried I would get blisters from new shoes that she had me take a change of sandals with me. No sore feet and no blisters. I am super excited to have them. Somehow I always get Sperry's that I like and want on discount I just have to be patient.

Lastly and most importantly my scarf. I have my mint and white seahorse scarf on. It is very soft and just so different for my "nautical" wardrobe. I love seahorses but have nothing with them and the colour was beautiful. I got it at Francesca's ( of course.) I also bought matching sea horse earrings to go with them.

Sorry, the jeans need to be altered to fit me a little better. I have lost 30 pounds since working and probably about 15 or 20 from when I bought these jeans. I think that may have been why I preferred the other pants I had with the outfit earlier.

Anchours Away.

Day Thirty One of my Scarf Challenge

Goodnight OddBalls.

Yes. This is the kind of day it has been. The kind of day I am telling people goodbye and goodnight before I even get started. Today I worked a double. Not as bad as I thought it was going to be. I made it through with no caffeine. I also woke up planning to go to work all beachy, spring and preppy and instead I went black, dark, and comfortable. Anyway, to the scarf.

So in the last few days I have met quite a few other Aggies here in spring break both staff and students. It has been so nice having them around. In honour of that I actually wore my Love Aggies scarf that my mum bought me for Christmas two years ago.

Thanks, Gig 'Em and God Bless.

Day Thirty of my Scarf Challenge

Leftovers Anyone?

I am still feeling the green from St. Patrick's Day so I wore some olive green. Still green but darker as I am in mourning that I have to wait another whole year until St. Patrick's Day again.

My scarf came from a little seaside town in France. We had been on the bus for many hours and we were ahead of schedule and were behaving so they stopped off in this town that had a beach maybe 500 feet long and a town that was not even a block. A cute little ice cream parlour overlooking the ocean. I never was able to get the name of the town even from our tour guide or bus driver. It was a place I wish I could just stop by again but I was never able to recover the name sadly. As y'all probably know by now I am in love with olive green which really attracted me to this scarf. I loved the two tone look and it is the softest scarf I own. Sometimes when I was in France and wanted something soft to sleep with I would snuggle up to it in bed.

I cannot say I was thrilled with the bottom part of my outfit but that is what I had and I really wanted to wear that top and scarf.

I also tried something new with my hair. I did much better with it today then yesterday (which is when this outfit is from.)

Have a great day.

Day Twenty Nine of my Scarf Challenge

Dia duit Everyone!

Happy Saint Patrick's Day. One of my favourite days as it gives me the excuse to wear a ton of green all at once. I love wearing green as it really pops the green in my hazel eyes and I love love love green eyes. I also love Irish Step Dancing. Something I got to do while there was a teacher in my community for two years and when she left I was so sad. One of these days I really hope I get to do it again and for an extended period of time.

This scarf is a yellow and green scarf or I would like to call it Emerald and Maize (my sorority colours.) I found it at the Humane Society Thrift Store about a week ago. It is a small square scarf. I have been trying to find some square scarves as I have some new ways to style and tie them that I have wanted to try out. Unfortunately, yesterday I was in such a rush that I did not get to practice. However, I did tie it two different ways. The first way was around my wrist. This is the way I normally tie my bandanas when I feel like wearing one. The next way I used it was by tying the scarf around my purse handle to St. Patty's Day it up a bit. I definitely preferred this way more. I was not thrilled with the bracelet.

My dress is from Francesca's. One of my favourites I have ever bought from there. My boots are BCBG and my mu bought them for my my freshman year of college as part of my Halloween costume. Probably the most expense piece of a Halloween costume she has ever bought but she also knew I would be wearing them again.

Sorry for my daddy's not so great photography skills.

May the luck of the Irish be with you.

Day Twenty Eight of my Scarf Challenge

Hallo Everyone!

My dad and I went on more exploring adventures. Some of the activities we had planned fell through but it was still just a nice time to spend with my dad.

A lot of people thought my outfit was nuts but I did spend most of the day indoors. Strangely with long sleeves and a blanket scarf I was not uncomfortable. This is also a lot of colour compared to what I normally wear. No special story to this scarf as of now. It was one of the scarves I bought from Aerie/ American Eagle. Again, a great deal for $10.00. I loved that this scarf also was not plaid. It was striped and very colourful.

Plus a little bit of sea foam green for a pre St. Patrick's Day celebration.

Love.

Day Twenty Seven of my Scarf Challenge

Hallo Adventurers!

Today my dad and I went exploring. I decided to wear my scarf in my hair today. I wrapped it around my head a few times and then tide it underneath. I actually traded for this scarf from my mum back at the end of my seniour year of high school into my freshman year of college. My Grandma at Christmas my seniour year of high school gave me a peach scarf. The exact same scarf that I am wearing just in a peach/tangerine colour. I love wearing navy and my mum likes more colour. When I saw she had the navy and then I decided to go to Texas A&M I really did not want the orange scarf so mum and I traded scarves.

The way of styling this scarf this way was an idea I got after Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 came out in theaters. Tibby wears a scarf around her head like that. I wear this scarf and another two I have that are similar in my hair like this when I travel or explore. I do not know why but when I go to do new things I wear scarves around my head and in my hair.

I am glad in the picture the scarf does not look as thick as I feel it did when I looked in the mirrour and got ready this morning.

Hope everyone is staying warm.

Day Twenty Six of my Scarf Challenge

Bonjour Everyone!

Yesterday I was out of town and I was also out of town most of the day. Hence yet another late blog post. Yesterday was my cousins baby shower! I can not wait to have another girl in the family as we are out weighed by lots of testosterone. It was a long drive and so I did not wear what I was wearing to the shower. Plus I went thrift store shopping as I drove to the shower. Got a new pair of Sperry's for $7.50. However, I am sad as my favourite thrift store is closing at the end of this month.

I wore my scarf that I bought in Paris. When I was in Paris I was looking for a scarf that just had little Eiffel Towers repeated over and over again. Unfortunately, in my whole trip I never found one that looked like this. Since being back I have not actively searched for one but I am sure I could find one. Would just make it so much more special if I got it while in France and better yet Paris. The place where I got this was a place we were told was a closed loop and was safe but advised to still be with at least another person which I always do while traveling. It was a place we almost had a Taken moment and I was so glad I have travelled enough and am street savvy enough to know what to do. A full street turned empty in a matter of seconds and some creepy men that were all ganging together. Not a fun experience for any reason. So as much as I love this scarf in many ways it brings back awful memories.

Of course I was barefoot. :)

Au Revoir.

Day Twenty Five of my Scarf Challenge

Good Evening!

Today I wore my other scarf from Pimkie that I bought in France. You can read more of the story in a previous blog. This scarf I found after I had already checked out and I was waiting on everyone else that I was with to check out. My husband (then boyfriend) had just finished his year as a chaplain in his corps outfit. They also have their dress uniforms called Midnights. They are my favourite and they are an olive green. So when you see this scarf it will make total sense when you see it. For me it was also nice because olive green is one of my favourite colours to wear. It makes my eyes look greener and I love that! I also loved the crosses. I had been wanting a scarf with crosses on it for a while. I had the hardest time finding one though that I even somewhat liked. So when I found this one I just knew that it was perfect. It described Karl and me in one. I am also religious so the crosses are perfect for me.

I styled it based on all the positive revues and comments I received the day before with wearing my scarf close around my neck.

Ciao.

Day Twenty Four of my Scarf Challenge

Howdy Everyone!

This post is actually yesterdays post. I finally have my family back in town for a few days so I am trying to enjoy them as much as possible. This also leads to a lot of sharing, compromises and unplanned adventures. This takes me away from the computer sometimes. Sorry about that.

This scarf is the other scarf that my Grandma bought me at Kohl's that I mentioned a few blogs ago. It is a Mudd navy and red plaid infinity scarf. It was a great "trainer" scarf when I was getting used to scarves as it was thin and it was an infinity so I could just throw it on and it looked good. I have not been wearing it recently as I do not like how thin it is anymore and I do not buy nearly as many infinity scarves as I used to. As you will see from my photos I had it one way when I walked out the door. By the end of the day I changed it up and had gotten several compliments on it. I personally liked it better as well. I did not get a chance to take a photo of how I styled it yesterday afternoon until this morning so sorry for what will look like a crazy outfit and makeup change. I also recently got my first flannel shirt and they are actually the exact same colour and pattern.

First way of wearing my scarf. Just throwing it on in a rush out the door.

This was how I wore it later in the day and I got lots of compliments. I liked how it looked and it was very comfortable.

Kisses.

Day Twenty Three of my Scarf Challenge

Good Day Everyone!

Not much of a story today. I just kept it basic today. Wore neutrals and then added a pop of colour with my coral scarf. This is another one of those few scarves that I own the same scarf just in a different colour.

What is so nice about this scarf is that it feels like denim and it is super soft around my neck. I also like the parts of it that are sear sucker pattern.

Happy Styling.

Day Twenty Two of my Scarf Challenge

Howdy Everyone,

Sorry for these day late blog posts. The computer has been being used by other members of the family and I feel that what they are working on far more important tasks then I am.

Yesterday, I got to play twinsies with a buddy of mine. We wore the same shirt and scarf. They are too adorable not too.

It is a gray shirt with a lace bottom and then a navy and white elephant scarf. Anyone that knows me knows how perfect this outfit is for me. I love neutral clothes and lace so that top was perfect. Then I am obsessed with navy and white stripes. There was a photo I posted on Instagram probably six months ago or so of all my navy and white striped items. That did not include, shorts, skirts, hair accessories, scarves, or any other pieces of clothing besides shirts. Well the scarf I wore yesterday is navy and white striped and has elephants on it. I love elephants. They have been one of my favourite animals since I was a little kid and I got to feed one a hotdog. Then when I went to Texas A&M I got even more passionate about them. Some of our traditions are focused around elephants. Then to top that all off my husband proposed at Elephant Walk.

A fun story from yesterday centered around scarves happened when I got to work and I saw my manager had put an outfit of the day together with my name on it. She chose a dress and necklace that I absolutely loved. When I saw it she said, "I figured you might want to add a scarf to it." Yes even at work my scarf addiction follows me. It just made me laugh.

I also have started using a new app which I know is going to take some time for me to get used to but it will keep track of how much I actually spent for something based on how much I wear it. It allows me to collage items together like a magazine layout. This is going to take some practice and time but I am enjoying it and will be posting my first one for this. It also has a lot of very cool features but I figure this app will keep my honest about if I have actually worn something in the last six months or so and if not it is going bye bye.

Here is my collage. Sorry for the wrinkles.

My husband took this photo of me just fixing my scarf but I liked it.

Then here is my full look.

Happy belated Tuesday. Happy Wednesday.

Day Twenty One of my Scarf Challenge

Good Evening Everyone,

Today, I wore my Coach scarf. I bought it at the Houston Outlets with my husband. I believe it was the first scarf he ever saw me in. Out of all of the scarves for sale my husband helped me pick out this one. Every scarf I owned up until this point in my collection was plain. I liked that his had some depth, texture, and pattern to it. I did not realize at the time how difficult it would be to sometimes match with other pieces of clothing. The other reason I really liked it was the colour. Red. Red is my favourite colour which I thought would make it more popular in my wardrobe. Which it did. The ironic point is that I prefer to show the red writing with the white background.

The other note to take into account is when I bought this scarf I really did not own any basic tops. All the tops I owned either had patterns or writing. Now I love to wear basic tops, especially v-necks which makes wearing this scarf a lot easier. I also like that is is double sided so no matter which side you show it still looks nice.

My picture taking was not that great today. Plus it was a horrible hair day. Bad makeup day. Just not a good day for getting ready and going out in public.

With love.

Day Twenty of my Scarf Challenge

 Hallo Everyone.

Today I wore my scarf that I gave to my grandma. I bought the scarf for her in France my last day there. Every time I would travel somewhere I would buy my grandma something with butterflies on it. In Spain it had been a fan, in China it was silk wall art, and in France it was a scarf. I had looked for something with butterflies for her the entire time I was in France. My last night there were a group of us that went down some back streets and found some nice stores. We were done and heading back to the hostel and we found this one last store that had a ton of scarves with butterflies. When I saw the scarf and it was perfect. When I got back to the USA I spent a few days with my husbands family and then went to stay with my grandparents for over a month. My grandma wore that scarf quite a bit. When I left she hung it on the photo of one of my grandparents anniversary portraits.

When she died last summer my mum brought the scarf back with her to give to me. I have wrestled with the though of wearing it but today I finally decided to. Perfect for the spring time. I tied it in a square knot.

Happy reading.

Day Nineteen of my Scarf Challenge

Sorry for the late post everyone!

Yesterday, I wore a scarf that my buddy Caitlin gave me one year for Christmas. It was from Forever 21. It is a mini version of a blanket scarf. It was perfect for yesterdays weather where is was cooler in the morning and evening and then at work where it is kept cooler. I tied it in a bandit style but instead of leaving the knot in the back I wrapped it around my neck and tied it in the front. Lauren Friedman's book calls it The Paris.

Enjoy!

Day Eighteen of my Scarf Challenge

Howdy Everyone!

So today I wore my mint infinity scarf. I actually bought it the day I met my future boss. (My future box actually rang me out too.) I had gone shopping with my buddy Clare down at the new outlets. It was so much fun to just spend the day with her. I do not think she enjoys shopping the way I do but she is always a great sport about everything.

I bought this scarf for a very strange reason. I bought it in September and I wanted a thicker scarf because of the fall. However, I really wanted the mint colour for the spring time. I figured it mixed two great season together.

Love.

Day Seventeen of my Scarf Challenge

Good Evening Everyone!

So today was day 17 of my scarf challenge. I wore a white infinity scarf with flowers on it. There is a very interesting and somewhat sad story to this scarf. Let me rephrase. Others find it sad. In a way though I find great joy and happiness in it.

Two summers ago I went up north to stay with my grandparents for a little over a month. We did not have a Kohl's where I lived until recently. So every time I went up to visit Grandma's we would go to Kohl's and shop as a sort of tradition. I loved it because Grandma always had great deals, coupons, and Kohl's cash so she would give me a budget but I could always get sooo much with it! Then usually I would find more then my allowed budget and she would usually cave and go a little over if she liked everything I had in the cart. That summer we were on our trip and I found a scarf that I just loved. Again way before I really wore them but I did like the idea of wearing them. It was an olive green/dark gray mix with magenta and tangerine flowers on it. It is one of my absolute favourite scarves. I liked that it was edgy mixed with girly. Grandma liked the scarf on me and said it would give me an excuse to come and visit when it got colder. We did end up buying two scarves that night but that flower one is probably in my top three favourite scarves and most worn at that.

At my Grandma's funeral, in September, I wore the above mentioned olive/ dark gray scarf to her funeral since she loved flowers, gardening, butterflies, outdoors, etc. That night my aunt took my cousins and I shopping at Kohl's kind of to get our minds off of everything by shopping but also going to the one store that Grandma absolutely loved! Kohl's.

While shopping, I came across a scarf that was identical to my olive green/ dark gray scarf except the background was white. I thought how perfect this one is literally the light version of my favourite scarf. I can wear this one when I do not want to be so dark. I showed it to my aunt and she instantly   knew why I loved it. The funny thing is that they were different brands. The white scarf is the Croft and Barrow while the olive green/ dark gray was Candies. I ended up getting the scarf for about $10.00 when it was originally $28.00.

I still feel this was a secret little gift that Grandma some how arranged from up above. Either way I am glad I found it. Still not as worn as the darker complected scarf but still quite a bit.

In this white scarf the tangerine (from the olive green/ dark gray scarf) is replaced with peach.

Have a wonderful day.

Day Sixteen of my Scarf Challenge

Good Evening!

So today was a very colorurful day. It was my day off and I really wanted to wear my pineapple shorts. I decided to go with a lime green top that I bought in Italy when I visited. It was very hard choosing a scarf to go with the outfit.

For a few weeks now I have seen a soft butter yellow scarf on the Francesca's website. When I looked recently it said it was almost sold out. I told my buddies about it and told them I guess I would never get the chance to buy it as it never came into the store. Well it came in and I was so excited! It is beautiful and soft and today I have worn it three different ways. It is just a great spring and summer scarf that can be worn to brighten an outfit or just go with an overall beachy type theme. It is a scarf that just feels nice to have around my neck. I really want to tie it onto a big tote bag or something as another way to use it while my scarf challenge is going on.

I know this will be weird but considering it is hard to see the pineapple shorts I am going to post a photo of them on here are they are super cute! Especially since they are the whole reason I wore this outfit.

Close Up.

How cute are these! Yes I do have a pineapple scarf as well.

Until tomorrow.

Day Fifteen of my Scarf Challenge

Howdy Everyone!

So day fifteen has been a nice one. I wore my second scarf from Apricot Lane. It is a pink and purple half and half with fringe on parts of it. It is super soft and super comfortable and soft. I just wore it with a bunch of neutral colours. As soon as I saw this scarf it was a definite. What makes that ironic is I bought it in Texas in May or June. It was $18 but has been so worth it. I also love that it is an infinity but it sits high up on my chest and neck. Looks cute under a zipped up jacket too.

Have a wonderful evening.

Day Fourteen of my Scarf Challenge

Boo Everyone!

Welcome to day fourteen. So today I actually made my scarf fit my outfit. Usually it is the other way around. I had this adorable top with lace down the back that I wanted to wear. So I just paired a basic black honeycomb scarf with my top.

This scarf I actually bought because I bought the same scarf in another colour. The first scarf was a taupe colour that I wear all the time. Part of the reason I wanted to do this scarf challenge was to change up what I wear more. It was also to challenge me in how I tie the scarves and make the same scarf look different by just tying it different. So I bought the taupe one when it was returned to my store from a different store as it was a scarf we never received. When I went away for my final day of training I found the scarf in black. Since it was my most worn scarf and it was in black and I did not own a black scarf it seemed like a basic necessity. Think of it as the little black dress of scarves. It was also a great steal as I planned to pay about $20.00 for it (after my discount) and ended up paying only $8.00. The store had markdowns that day and then the sale price was an additional 40% off. I love the pattern of it. It is a honeycomb pattern. It is thicker yarn but because of the large honeycomb holes I can wear it in warmer and cooler weather which is wonderful especially where I live.

Sorry for the not so great photo tonight. The photos I took earlier did not come out.

I love the texture. It really is a deep dark black.

Until tomorrow.

Day Thirteen of my Scarf Challenge

 Howdy Everyone!

So day thirteen has just been a BRIGHT day for me. I do not know whether it was the farmers market early this morning, the beautiful sunflowers I bought, boosting others confidence, being the first day of March or wearing a neon hot pink scarf today.

Hopefully this photo brightens your day! :)

Anyway, I look at it is has just been a happy and bright day all around. After all the rain yesterday it was much needed. Usually, I love the rain. I find it relaxing and I could just sit in a rocking chair and listen to it for hours, especially if I can watch the rain dance across the water at the same time. The rain yesterday had my county pretty close to flooded and just put everyone in a very damper mood.

This bright hot pink neon scarf was an odd choice for me I, when I bought it. On occasion though this colour just grabs my eye. Wonder why? I saw this scarf when I interned at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo a few years ago. It was between $10.00- $12.00. I saw it my first day and by the end of my internship I could not think to live without it. I bought it along with one more scarf which you will see soon enough. I had a lot of people tell me today that my scarf just added a little bit of brightness to their day.

Today I decided to tie my scarf in a half bow. I have actually been wanting to wear this scarf for days and today the selection just worked.

Stay happy and bright.

Day Twelve of my Scarf Challenge

Hallo everyone!

So today I wore my "slinky" scarf. I bought it in France my last night in Angers. My host family took Morgan and me to the mall and we went into a store called Pimkie. I would compare it to a Forever 21 in the USA. I like this scarf in that it is girly and edgy put together. It is floral with army greens and khakis thrown in. I call it my slinky scarf as it literally acts like a slinky. As you will see it was not even worth taking a photo of it by itself because it does not fold properly due to how it curls, kinks, stretches and moves. I believe all four items I bought in Pimkie were olive green in colour.

It flooded where I lived today which is why this photo is taken so close to the door. Thank goodness for lights.

Have a grand evening.

Day Eleven of my Scarf Challenge

Good Evening Everyone!

So today I took advantage of the cooler weather and massive wind gusts. I wore one of my blanket scarves by Aerie (American Eagle.) The colour pattern is The Gatsby. A story that I have never been head over heels for but the scarf is so cute I just could not resist. It is a green and blue plaid pattern. It reminded me of the deeper parts of the ocean. Another one of my under $10.00 scarves.

I was glad that I dressed a little warmer then I normally would have as I ended up being outside a lot more then I expected to be today for various reasons. I also love being outside in the cooler weather when I am dressed nicely for it. Worst part was the rain that could not make up its mind.

I also want to thank my buddy Rachel for taking some nice photos of me for tonight.

Even though I was fixing my hair.

Rachel was telling me to do something.

It is nice going with some photos I would not normally get.

Have a great evening!

Day Ten of my Scarf Challenge

Howdy Everyone!

I have made it to the double digits of my scarf challenge and of my blog. Thanks for continuing to read.

So today, I really wanted to wear polka dots and I was feeling very spring time and light. So I matched my polka dot denim shirt with a very bright yellow polka dot scarf from France. I bought this scarf for 2 euros in one of the market places with Noemie and Morgan. It was towards the end of the trip but up until this point I had bought a different scarf in each town I had visited so I could remember the city and I still did not have one to remember Anger by. Now you will see in the next few weeks I ended up with I believe four (one of them is the anchour scarf from day six) but this was the first one I bought in Angers.

I tied this scarf several different ways this morning and my husband helped me decide on the Rosette which is pretty much just my scarf tied into a bun.

Now the Rosette should have a shorter tail on it but my husband really liked it this way so I went for it. I loved being able to pull off the double polka dots because of how light they are on the shirt. I kind of feel like a flight attendant. However, I always love seeing how flight attendants tie their ascots and scarves. Of course I do.

This scarf is very thin and not super long which was great for the Rosette and I love how it added some colour and spunk to my outfit today.

Until tomorrow.

Day Nine of my Scarf Challenge

Howdy Everyone!

Welcome to day nine of my 55 day scarf challenge. So today I had a lot to get done and only gave myself 15 minutes to get ready. So I really was not in the mood of figuring out what to wear with any of my scarves. I changed clothes three times and scarves, I believe, six times.

I finally decided on one of my two scarves from Apricot Lane. I bought it on one of my last shopping trips at Cinco with Megan. I remember debating between the one I got with navy in it or the other one that instead of navy it had olive green. I still wonder if I made the right decision or not. All I know is Megan was no help at picking it. I still love her though. :)

I have been running errands all day and unfortunately could not take photos until later at night so I am a mess.

I wore my scarf several different ways today. I wore it in a braid, then a pretzel, then I made it into an Infinity, then just looped around my neck once with the tails in front, then in a European Loop,  and lastly I did whatever that is above.

The top part of the photo are what the two long vertical sides are and then the chevron is in the middle. I did not even realize there was chevron until today. I always just grabbed it when I wanted these colours all together. I actually did not even realize it until I went to take this photo tonight. It was always just folded and hung and I thought there were just thin and thick stripes.

Have a wonderful evening.

Day Eight of my Scarf Challenge

Good Evening!

So today I took advantage of the cooler weather. It was far from cold but nice enough to wear a thicker scarf.

I am wearing a taupe and black scarf. What I find cool about this scarf is if I wear it on one side it is more black and if I wear it on the flip side it has more taupe. It is a thicker weave scarf but is super soft. I bought it at the Francesca's Outlet in Florida. It was on sale after all the promos for I think between $10.00-$15.00. I love how neutral it is so it goes with quite a bit.

Here are the photos.

I did not realize until I got home the line right down the middle of my body. Anyways I think it is cool. Feeling my 80's side pony today as well.

Hope you have a wonderful night.

Day Seven of my Scarf Challenge- My Very First Scarf

Howdy Everyone!

So today I wore my very first scarf ever! I did not even know that it was part of my purchase when I bought it. It is a scarf that has taken me a long time (the longest actually) to love and embrace. For a long time I thought about getting rid of it as I did not understand how I could make leopard print look cute. I also thought scarves were only for when it got cold out and that only people up north wore them. I also did not realize they could be such a cute accesory. It took my friend Michelle in college to make me realize how cute it really was. My mum even sent it out to me freshman year when it got really cold. I disliked it so much that I chose to let my neck freeze over wearing it. Now I love it and I have to keep myself from buying more leopard print scarves because I have been loving leopard the last 8 months or so.

This is actually a Sperry Topsider scarf that I received when my mum bought me my first pair of Sperry's going into high school. Yes, I grew up around the water and on boats and I never owned a pair (unlike the rest of my family.) I still wear the shoes although they have no sole on the heel and are so slick I cannot even wear them when it rains out. They are so comfortable though. Nothing like a great worn in pair of shoes.

Now I wish every time I bought a pair of Sperry's that I could get a scarf. Haha.

So here it is in all its glory.

Here is the complete outfit. I did end up fixing the scarf so you could only see the side with the pattern. I wore it in a pretzel.

Hope everyone enjoyed my story of how my collection of scarves grew to what it is now and how I actually did not like scarves for a long time.

Good Night.
