Day Twelve of my Scarf Challenge

Hallo everyone!

So today I wore my "slinky" scarf. I bought it in France my last night in Angers. My host family took Morgan and me to the mall and we went into a store called Pimkie. I would compare it to a Forever 21 in the USA. I like this scarf in that it is girly and edgy put together. It is floral with army greens and khakis thrown in. I call it my slinky scarf as it literally acts like a slinky. As you will see it was not even worth taking a photo of it by itself because it does not fold properly due to how it curls, kinks, stretches and moves. I believe all four items I bought in Pimkie were olive green in colour.

It flooded where I lived today which is why this photo is taken so close to the door. Thank goodness for lights.

Have a grand evening.

Day Eleven of my Scarf Challenge

Good Evening Everyone!

So today I took advantage of the cooler weather and massive wind gusts. I wore one of my blanket scarves by Aerie (American Eagle.) The colour pattern is The Gatsby. A story that I have never been head over heels for but the scarf is so cute I just could not resist. It is a green and blue plaid pattern. It reminded me of the deeper parts of the ocean. Another one of my under $10.00 scarves.

I was glad that I dressed a little warmer then I normally would have as I ended up being outside a lot more then I expected to be today for various reasons. I also love being outside in the cooler weather when I am dressed nicely for it. Worst part was the rain that could not make up its mind.

I also want to thank my buddy Rachel for taking some nice photos of me for tonight.

Even though I was fixing my hair.

Rachel was telling me to do something.

It is nice going with some photos I would not normally get.

Have a great evening!

P. S. It came to my attention that comments, follows, etc was not enabled like I thought it was so I hope it works now.

Day Ten of my Scarf Challenge

Howdy Everyone!

I have made it to the double digits of my scarf challenge and of my blog. Thanks for continuing to read.

So today, I really wanted to wear polka dots and I was feeling very spring time and light. So I matched my polka dot denim shirt with a very bright yellow polka dot scarf from France. I bought this scarf for 2 euros in one of the market places with Noemie and Morgan. It was towards the end of the trip but up until this point I had bought a different scarf in each town I had visited so I could remember the city and I still did not have one to remember Anger by. Now you will see in the next few weeks I ended up with I believe four (one of them is the anchour scarf from day six) but this was the first one I bought in Angers.

I tied this scarf several different ways this morning and my husband helped me decide on the Rosette which is pretty much just my scarf tied into a bun.

Now the Rosette should have a shorter tail on it but my husband really liked it this way so I went for it. I loved being able to pull off the double polka dots because of how light they are on the shirt. I kind of feel like a flight attendant. However, I always love seeing how flight attendants tie their ascots and scarves. Of course I do.

This scarf is very thin and not super long which was great for the Rosette and I love how it added some colour and spunk to my outfit today.

Until tomorrow.

Day Nine of my Scarf Challenge

Howdy Everyone!

Welcome to day nine of my 55 day scarf challenge. So today I had a lot to get done and only gave myself 15 minutes to get ready. So I really was not in the mood of figuring out what to wear with any of my scarves. I changed clothes three times and scarves, I believe, six times.

I finally decided on one of my two scarves from Apricot Lane. I bought it on one of my last shopping trips at Cinco with Megan. I remember debating between the one I got with navy in it or the other one that instead of navy it had olive green. I still wonder if I made the right decision or not. All I know is Megan was no help at picking it. I still love her though. :)

I have been running errands all day and unfortunately could not take photos until later at night so I am a mess.

I wore my scarf several different ways today. I wore it in a braid, then a pretzel, then I made it into an Infinity, then just looped around my neck once with the tails in front, then in a European Loop,  and lastly I did whatever that is above.

The top part of the photo are what the two long vertical sides are and then the chevron is in the middle. I did not even realize there was chevron until today. I always just grabbed it when I wanted these colours all together. I actually did not even realize it until I went to take this photo tonight. It was always just folded and hung and I thought there were just thin and thick stripes.

Have a wonderful evening.

Day Eight of my Scarf Challenge

Good Evening!

So today I took advantage of the cooler weather. It was far from cold but nice enough to wear a thicker scarf.

I am wearing a taupe and black scarf. What I find cool about this scarf is if I wear it on one side it is more black and if I wear it on the flip side it has more taupe. It is a thicker weave scarf but is super soft. I bought it at the Francesca's Outlet in Florida. It was on sale after all the promos for I think between $10.00-$15.00. I love how neutral it is so it goes with quite a bit.

Here are the photos.

I did not realize until I got home the line right down the middle of my body. Anyways I think it is cool. Feeling my 80's side pony today as well.

Hope you have a wonderful night.

Day Seven of my Scarf Challenge- My Very First Scarf

Howdy Everyone!

So today I wore my very first scarf ever! I did not even know that it was part of my purchase when I bought it. It is a scarf that has taken me a long time (the longest actually) to love and embrace. For a long time I thought about getting rid of it as I did not understand how I could make leopard print look cute. I also thought scarves were only for when it got cold out and that only people up north wore them. I also did not realize they could be such a cute accesory. It took my friend Michelle in college to make me realize how cute it really was. My mum even sent it out to me freshman year when it got really cold. I disliked it so much that I chose to let my neck freeze over wearing it. Now I love it and I have to keep myself from buying more leopard print scarves because I have been loving leopard the last 8 months or so.

This is actually a Sperry Topsider scarf that I received when my mum bought me my first pair of Sperry's going into high school. Yes, I grew up around the water and on boats and I never owned a pair (unlike the rest of my family.) I still wear the shoes although they have no sole on the heel and are so slick I cannot even wear them when it rains out. They are so comfortable though. Nothing like a great worn in pair of shoes.

Now I wish every time I bought a pair of Sperry's that I could get a scarf. Haha.

So here it is in all its glory.

Here is the complete outfit. I did end up fixing the scarf so you could only see the side with the pattern. I wore it in a pretzel.

Hope everyone enjoyed my story of how my collection of scarves grew to what it is now and how I actually did not like scarves for a long time.

Good Night.

Day Six of my Scarf Challenge

Bonjour Everyone!

It is day six of my 55 day scarf challenge.

Today, I was really feeling in a French sort of mood. I wore a scarf and shirt that I bought in France. I also wore my hair the ways my little French sister did her hair the first day we arrived and she came to pick us up. It is a favourite style of mine and I know I get many compliments on it and people ask how I do it and it is actually very easy.

So today I wore my Armor-Lux anchour scarf. It is 100% cotton and amazing to wear around my neck. I love anchours and it was my first anchour scarf I bought. I bought this scarf on one of my last days in France when they had there big "tax free" type weekend. It is still one of the more expensive scarves I own and at the time I thought I was nuts but I am very glad that I did. I want to say it was about 25 euros or something. I remember it ended up being between $35.00- $40.00 US. Plus I came to love the brand while I was in France bringing home with me a jacket, two shirts, and my scarf by this company. I wish I could find an easy way to buy it in the USA. However, I think this just means I need to go visit France sooner rather then later. I would compare this company to what I would find in a Nautica or something in the USA.

On top of all these French feelings today I also visited a farmers market which was one of my favourite things to do while I was in France. On top of all this I bought goat cheese which was something I finally tried while I was France and I love to eat to this day.

I own many navy and white stripe shirts but I wanted to add some happiness with the yellow.

Bonne Nuit.

Day Five of my Scarf Challenge

Howdy Everyone!

So today it warmed up a lot! Made me kind of sad as I do prefer the cooler weather but my plants are happy so that makes me happy.

So this post is a little late but I decided to give myself a pamper evening and it was wonderful and I am so grateful that I did.

So I was feeling all black clothing again today and I do not know why as I have been feeling very beachy. However, I loved how this came out.

It is my bicycle scarf that I bought at Icing last March when I did an event called Grand Ball and it was amazing and fun and the second one I had done. Anyways, I chose this because I loved that it was black, gray and white and to me it made it look a little bit like an old photograph. I also love things with bikes. I do not know why this is as I do not really ride them a whole lot anymore. I guess it just reminds me of summertime and the freedom to do whatever I wanted to. In some parts of my life it is a very important form of transportation. There are so many reasons I love items with bicycles on them it is just kind of a weird random assortment of reasons. I did not even realize I had all of these reasons for loving the symbol of them but now I can explain to people why I do.

So for this I was doing a bit on vintage look. You can not see it but the back of my shirt has about a 6cm wide strip of lace going down the back. Then I loved layering a more vintage linear necklace with this scarf. I think it glams it up a bit and is just a super cute way to wear two items I love around my neck instead of one. I know a few people asked me why I was doing this challenge to myself as I had so many pretty necklaces and the answer is I can make different ones work depending on the necklace, the type of scarf, and how I tie the scarf. It is just a lot of fun to play around with.

Here are the photos for the day.

Sorry for the not so great detailing of the necklace. It pulled the colours in from the rest of the piece beautifully.

Hope you have a good evening and I will be back tomorrow.

Day Four of my Scarf Challenge

Howdy Everyone!

So today is day four of my 55 day scarf challenge and it has been fun thus far. I have a very early morning so this is going to be super short.

Today, I started putting my outfit together and notice I was just picking all black. I went on that same wave length with my black, gray and white plaid blanket scarf. Decided to add a pop of colour with my red lipstick and wing eye. Overall, I thought it was cute and somehow my hair looked better the longer the day went on. I don't know how that happened but I will take it.

I notice I love blanket scarves in photos but not really when they are taken in selfies. Although, I really do not like selfies that much myself anyways.

I have been noticing that a blanket scarf takes a little bit but it does find a nice way to lay on its own.

My hair also loosened up a bit.

What I also like about this black scarf in particular is that if I wear it on one side it is more black and dark gray and if I wear it on the other side it is more white with light gray.

Have a good night.

Day Three of my Scarf Challenge

Howdy Everyone!

Today is day three of my scarf challenge. The weather got even colder here today so I wore another blanket scarf. Of course I made it one of my two new scarves to come in the mail yesterday!

Anyways this scarf kept me very warm today. I even ended up using it as a cute shawl to really warm me up after having to go outside for a bit.

I am very excited about this scarf because my patience paid off. I saw this scarf go on sale for $20.00. I decided to wait and caught it on sale for $10.00 plus free shipping. Also if I spent more then $40.00 I got $10.00 which made me even more happy! So technically, I got this scarf for under $10.00.

I also liked this as it seems like a very popular pattern and I love all of the colours I can pull into my outfit with it as well.

This will be a short post today.

Thanks for reading.

Day Two of my Scarf Challenge

Howdy Everyone!

Well I made it to day two!

I was surprised with the number of views I got yesterday (and no my views were not included.)

So today I went for my maroon, black, white and pink blanket scarf.

Blanket scarves are a new discovery of mine and I am loving them so far! This was probably the worst time to start this challenge because I will have a total of eight blanket scarves. When I get something new I am one of those people that tends to over kill it and in this instance I would make it all I wear. So maybe this is my way of spreading my love with the rest of my scarves a little.

Before the blanket scarf I was obsessing with regular rectangle scarves as I was discovering different ways to tie them and realizing that infinity scarves were maybe not the way to go all the time. When I started wearing scarves I actually only wore infinity scarves because I thought all  scarves just looped around your neck so in my mind I was thinking the looping is already done and I don't have to deal with the tails all day.

However, now my obsession is the blanket scarf.

I guess I have been feeling my Texas A&M roots of maroon and white because today I wore my plaid maroon blanket scarf. I wanted to add a little colour to today because it was pretty chilly here. Usually when it is chilly all I wear is black and gray. Plus blanket scarves are made to keep you warm. I just love how cozy they are.

This scarf I actually bought at American Eagle on sale and then it was an additional 60% off. So I got it for about $11.50 which I did not think was bad at all considering they run about $30.00. I only bought it in the last two weeks as well. It looks like it was full price online when I looked and said it was new but for some reason in the store they were on sale.

Heck I will take it and it was a great introductory price.

Now before you see the photo I have also been trying some different styles with my hair yesterday and today were two of those days. Hope you like them.

Sorry that the indoor photo is so horrible! It was more so you could see the pink in the scarf.

Here is a photo of me wearing it on Valentine's Day so you can see the overall look.

I will see you tomorrow. I am going to check the mail and see if two of my scarves came!

P. S. I called it yesterday but it will be the 55 Day Scarf Challenge now as I found one hiding.

Day One of my Scarf Challenge- First Blog Post Ever

Howdy Everyone!

If anyone actually sees this in the world I will be quite impressed.

I have always have to have a blog and have decided it is finally time to make one.

I have 54 scarves (that I can find) and so I am challenging myself to wear a different scarf everyday for 54 days straight. If I decide not to wear one by the end of the blog I will have to sell it or give it away.

I also have many other interests such as traveling, knitting, reading, fashion, jewelry (making), movies, music and much more!

Today was my first day of the 54 day scarf challenge and I wore my maroon and white chevron scarf. I bought it at Aggieland Outfitters about a year ago. I wore it in a pretzel.

These are the photos of all my scarves I will be using in the challenge.

The first group is on the wall. My husband helped me make it as a way for me to access my scarves easier while also adding a little colour to our walls.

Here are the rest of the scarves that I am working on finding a way to store nicely. I also have 5 more that will be arriving hopefully tomorrow and Friday.

Hope this finds you well. Hopefully I can keep up with this.
See you tomorrow.
